The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Tuesday afternoon that a Coast Guard helicopter had to make an emergency landing near a golf club.

Deputies say the helicopter had a hard landing near LochenHeath Golf Club in Williamsburg.

The Coast Guard says the crew made a precautionary landing due to a hydraulic leak while training over East Bay. They say they are assessing the condition of the helicopter before making plans to move it.

Authorities said initial reports were that no one was injured in the incident.
