In a move many suspected was coming, incoming general manager Barry Trotz and the Nashville Predators have fired head coach John Hynes and hired former Nashville Predator Andrew Brunette as the franchise’s fourth head coach . The move was first announced by Kevin Weekes on Twitter:

The move was more or less confirmed by the Nashville Predators Twitter account and Pierre Lebrun not long after.
