The Fort Dodge Police Department has identified the man who died Wednesday morning after being shot while allegedly trying to break into a garage in Fort Dodge.
The dead man has been identified as Bryan W. Gambill, 44, of Fort Dodge. According to the FDPD, investigators are continuing to gather information from the incident and further updates will be provided.
Shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday, FDPD and Fort Dodge Fire Department medics were called to 1219 Sixth Ave. S. to report a person who had shot someone who was entering his garage. When officers and medics arrived, they located Gambill, who was unresponsive and eventually pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation.
