“Mrs. Jay Ruth Sheppard was recovered on 05/29/23 in Orlando. She is in good health,” according to a statement from Sergeant Kim Walsh of the Apopka Police Department. Sheppard had been missing since May 9.

The Apopka Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Jay Ruth Sheppard.
Mrs. Sheppard is 72 years old, 5’7″ tall, 230 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen on 5/9/23 after being discharged from Advent Health Apopka.
Ms Sheppard is diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer’s, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
