ROCHESTER, NH – Police have identified a woman who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash while walking on Milton Road Friday night as police continue to search for the driver who hit her.
Kimberly Lucier, 60, of Rochester, died Sunday, days after she was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle that drove away from the scene of the crash, police said.
Investigators continue to ask for the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle involved and the driver who hit Lucier.
Police said Saturday that the vehicle that struck Lucier likely had damage on the front passenger side, with possible damage to the hood and windshield. Police did not provide a further description of the vehicle.
At about 10:22 p.m. Friday, Rochester police responded to Milton Road in the area of the Hannaford store for a report of a person on the ground near the road, police said.
When officers arrived, they found Lucier unconscious on the ground with a head wound on the north side of Milton Road.
An initial investigation found that Lucier had been walking north on Milton Road, pushing an unoccupied baby stroller when she was struck from behind by a vehicle traveling north on Milton Road, police said. The vehicle that hit Lucier was not at the scene.
Lucier was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries and died Sunday, police said.
