There is a police standoff on Hawthorne Avenue in Albany.
NewsChannel 13’s Dan Levy says police with rifles are forming a perimeter outside a home there.
Hawthorne Avenue near Washington Avenue is closed.
It all started as an EMS call around 5:40 Thursday evening, police said.
Officers arrived to find a man in the backyard. The man ran back into the house, police said. Officers then heard a window break.
Police are trying to get in touch with the man inside to find out what’s going on.
