TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Nearly three weeks after an overnight shooting in Tom Brown Park left a woman dead in what police are calling an ambush attack on officers, the Tallahassee Police Department has released body camera footage that they show some of what happened during the incident.

As WCTV has reported, on May 25 officers responded to Tom Brown Park after receiving a call that a man they were looking for in connection with a drug investigation was spotted and armed.

Officers and the LCSO deputy responded to the call and arrested a man later identified as Durrell Lee. A short time later, an officer encountered Asia Fitzgerald armed with a rifle, and she began shooting at them, according to TPD.

The video released Monday, narrated for the first time by a TPD spokesperson, takes viewers through the incident, followed by about 13 minutes of non-narrated footage, showing officers responding to the scene, along with exchange of shots and the consequences.

The video is linked below and we want to warn you that it is graphic.

WCTV is working to get more updates on the ongoing investigation.

This is a developing story.
