Video from the scene showed several police officers at the scene as officials inspected the cart.
Commuters are being rerouted to the Route 57 bus for service between Kenmore and Packard’s Corner as the T announced that shuttle buses will replace service between those areas for the remainder of the evening.
MBTA General Manager Phil Eng says the center wheels of the two-car trolley came off the tracks during today’s derailment on the Green Line in Allston.
“The distance between the rails was not where it should have been,” Eng said Monday afternoon.
Green B Line Branch Update: Shuttle buses will continue to replace service between Kenmore and Washington Street until the end of service tonight. This will allow crews to perform track maintenance work around Packard’s Corner.
