Bixby police say a homicide investigation is underway after a woman was found dead Sunday evening.
Police say it all started after family members called police about a car with a passenger they believed was in danger. Police say officers were dispatched to the scene where they later found a woman dead inside.
Authorities say a man wanted in connection with an overnight homicide is in custody after a pursuit ended in a crash Monday in Pryor. Police say 34-year-old Travis Glenn Ballard was arrested after authorities allegedly led him on a chase before crashing near Northeast 1st Street in Pryor.
Police say the large police presence at Bixby’s Washington Irving Park Monday morning was related to the investigation.
