Crews from the Northport and Tuscaloosa fire departments are responding to a fire at the Sonic Restaurant located at 2910 Lurleen B Wallace Road in Northport. Crews have been at the scene since 6:00 a.m. Friday. Firefighters are putting out the fire with a hook and ladder truck, spraying water on the roof of the building. Smoke can be seen coming from the restaurant. All lanes of Lurleen Wallace are currently open, but traffic is backed up nearby. Drivers may want to take an alternate route if possible.
