Hello friends. Happy Saturday Weatherman Robert with a *** check on your forecast and it’s really *** the tale of two forecasts that will be great today. Terrible tonight. But we will focus on today’s part. First, lots of sun. good time There is no excuse not to go to the pool today. Temperatures in the upper eighties this afternoon, low nineties for the river valley with plenty of sun as well. If you’re going out, it doesn’t matter what your outdoor activity is. Put the sun protection UV index up to 10 today, that’s very, very high. If you have clear, untreated skin, it will take about 10 minutes to start burning. This is the time of year when we are in the angle of the sun. Very, very strong. So put on that SP F-35 or higher tonight, everything changes. Here comes the severe weather threat, an increased risk for most of our area that looks like numerous severe thunderstorms are possible for most of the area. And that threat extends into southwest Kansas and parts of the southeast. Colorado, as the complex of storms is expected to develop, the main threat will be damage from straight-line winds. We could see gusts, 70 to 80 miles per hour or more, but we can’t deploy the other three elements primarily concerned with damaging winds and possibly large hail. So let’s go through the rest of today, things are looking good. Nothing to worry about clear skies, clouds slowly increasing throughout the day. But tonight, after sunset, here come these storms, it’s actually midnight that we’re showing you here, and we could have showers and thunderstorms again. Some of them could also be in the strong two, quite serious. These storm complexes are usually fast moving. So this should be in and out in a relatively short period of time. Notice all the heavy rain at three and five in the morning too. But at sunrise, Sunday for the most part, it’s out of here, Sunday as a whole seems now, relatively quiet. It’s just tonight. This is what we have to watch out for. See this hatched area here with our high wind threat. This is the biggest threat. This is major severe weather, 75 miles per hour or more, which includes Washington and Crawford County. But there are also some pretty good opportunities outside of this hatched area. Same with large hail. We are concerned about this major threat of hail across basically the entire area. It doesn’t make a big difference between Ozark and Clarksville being on either side of the colors. There is still a strong chance of large, damaging hail and then tomorrow morning, especially in the morning, maybe early afternoon. There is still an outside chance of severe thunderstorms throughout the area. But that threat will diminish as the day progresses. So today, no, don’t worry lots of sunshine with some high clouds later in the day. Temperatures quite warm, upper eighties and lower nineties. Tonight is *** severe. All possible modes of severe weather, especially after nine o’clock, from sunset to sunrise is what we are most concerned about because these damaging winds are the main threat. We’ll have forecast updates tonight at five and 69 on the CW and ABC at 10. Have a great Saturday.
