A temporary stop was made at Pittsburgh International Airport on Monday. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, it is due to unauthorized drone activity. An airport spokesperson confirmed that the ground stop was caused by an unauthorized drone that was spotted near the airport. The stop lasted about 30 minutes. “Law enforcement has responded and is attempting to locate the operator,” the spokesman said. “Drones can pose aviation safety risks and unauthorized operators in protected airspace can be fined or face charges. Airport terminal operations are not affected.”
