BOSTON — Jackie Jones, a cornerback for the New England Patriots, was arrested Friday evening at Boston’s Logan International Airport after trying to bring two firearms onto the plane.
The firearms were found when Jones brought his carry-on through an airport security checkpoint around 5:20 p.m., according to the TSA.
Massachusetts State Police troopers responded to the Terminal B checkpoint and arrested Jones.
Jackie K. Jones, 25, of Arizona, faces multiple charges including possession of a concealed weapon in a secured area of an airport, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card , unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and possession of a large capacity feeding device, according to police.
Jones was booked into the Logan State Police Airport Barracks and posted a $50,000 bond.
He will be arraigned next week in Boston’s Eastern District Court.
Jack Jones was selected by the New England Patriots in the fourth round (121st overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
“We have been notified that Jack Jones was arrested today at Logan Airport. We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time,” according to a Patriots spokesperson.
