Police and other emergency responders in Washington state are responding to reports of an active shooter at the Gorge Amphitheater, home of the Beyond Wonderland festival. Only a few details are currently available.
The incident began around 8:45 p.m. Saturday when police reported an “active shooter” at the outdoor concert hall near Quincy in Grant County, about 113 miles southeast of Seattle.
“Active shooter at Gorge Amphitheater. If you are in the Gorge, seek shelter,” the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said in an alert. “Run for cover or fight the suspect if you encounter him.”
There was no immediate word on possible injuries and we are working to gather more information. A large number of emergency services are responding as officers work to secure the scene.
The Beyond Wonderland festival was taking place when the shooting occurred. The event features three nights of camping, two full days of electronic dance music, immersive art, costumed performers and more.
