NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A New Mexico woman accused of breaking into a couple’s home and assaulting them while claiming the home was hers has been convicted.
Josie Abeyta was sentenced to 18 months of probation after pleading no contest to criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. A judge said he will have to stay on his medication and continue counseling as part of his probation terms.

Abeyta is also ordered to pay compensation to the victims.
