MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Authorities have issued a shelter-in-place order for a stretch of Manitou Avenue. Few details have been released, but 11 News has received a few calls from onlookers reporting a heavy police presence along Manitou Avenue. ., just west of Columbia Rd.
According to a city news release, police responded to a disturbance call in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday.
The shelter in place is for a half mile area around this block.
Police plan to provide an update to the public at a news conference at 7:45 p.m
