3 elderly found dead in Newton home in apparent homicide, Middlesex DA says

Newton police are actively searching for the person or people responsible for the deaths of three elderly people in the Massachusetts city’s Nonantum neighborhood, authorities say. The Middlesex District Attorney’s office said the three people were found dead inside a home on approximately Broadway Street. Sunday at 10:15 and that they appeared to be victims of an apparent homicide. Authorities have not identified the three victims at this time. The area of Broadway between Churchill Street and Linwood Avenue remained closed Sunday evening and people are being asked to avoid the area. Authorities said residents in the Nonantum area should expect to see an increased police presence. “As always, residents are asked to remain vigilant, check door and window locks, and report any suspicious activity to Newton Police at 617-796. -2123.
