BOSTON — A fire at an MBTA station near Tufts Medical Center is causing delays on the Orange Line, the transit agency said midday Wednesday.
More than a dozen Boston firefighters are inside the station.
Riders should expect delays and the T urged commuters to use Green Line service between North Station and Back Bay while emergency responders are at the scene.
“Orange Line Update: Southbound delays of more than 30 minutes due to fire department activity near Tufts Medical Center. Riders are advised to use Green Line service between North Station and Back Bay,” the T said in a tweet shortly after noon Wednesday.
