Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar joined the NDA government in Maharashtra on July 2. He took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in the presence of CM Eknath Shinde and Dy CM Fadnavis. Ajit Pawar arrived at Raj Bhavan after holding a meeting with NCP leaders at his residence. NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal also administered oath as a minister at Raj Bhavan. Ajit Pawar was also accompanied by the NCP leader. Also, the BJP core committee meeting was held at the residence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Some MLAs supporting Ajit Pawar were “very upset” with Sharad Pawar’s decision, sources said. They opposed Sharad Pawar’s unilateral decision to share the stage with Rahul Gandhi at the Patna opposition meeting.
