SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, PA (EYT) – Franklin-based state police are seeking the public’s help in finding multiple suspects involved in a home invasion in the Sugarcreek area of Venango County early this morning in which a man was shot and wounded .
According to a state police public information release report, multiple suspects forced their way into a residence on Mountaineer Drive at 2:52 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, and robbed a 25-year-old male victim.
During the incident, one of the suspects shot the victim, injuring him in the head, before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to Grove City Hospital and then to Allegheny General Hospital.
State police are asking anyone who witnesses suspicious activity in the vicinity of Mountaineer Drive, Montana Drive or Two Mile Run Road to call the Franklin Barracks at 814-676-6596.
