Somerville residents warned of a man breaking into homes at night through open windows

SOMERVILLE – Police are warning Somerville residents to lock their doors and windows due to “multiple incidents” of someone breaking into their home overnight.

According to reports, the man has been entering houses between midnight and 6am through first floor windows that were left open. The events are happening in the Beacon Street corridor near Cambridge.

On Thursday, police also shared a surveillance image of a suspect during a break and enter at a separate location on June 16; they have no evidence that this person is involved in the Beacon Street corridor attack.
