KEENE, NH — The driver of a utility truck was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a rollover crash in Keene Saturday morning, state police said.
At approximately 10:45 a.m., troopers responded to a report of an accident involving a 1996 International utility truck owned by BGWN Services of Milford, state police said.
The truck was traveling southbound on Route 12 in the area of the transfer station when the vehicle suffered severe mechanical failure, causing it to overturn several times before finally coming to rest on its side.
The driver, Wade Methe, 23, of Milford, was sent to a local hospital, state police said.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
The vehicle was put out of service due to extensive damage, state police said. An out-of-service order is given to a driver or commercial vehicle that violates a certain set of conditions for the purpose of protecting the public from imminent safety hazards.
New Hampshire State Police were assisted by members of the Keene Police and Fire Departments, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and the Department of Environmental Services.
