A MAN, A WOMAN, POSSIBLY IN THEIR 50’S OR 60’S, SAYS A HONDA CIVIC WAS DRIVING AROUND HERE ON ELKHORN BOULEVARD, EAST OF HILLSDALE BOULEVARD, AND WENT OFF THE ROAD, AND HAD THESE TWO PEDESTRIANS AT THE VERA THEY ALL DIED HERE WITH THIS SCENE, THE DRIVER OF THE HONDA CIVIC IS A WOMAN, HER LATE TEENS OR EARLY 20S. AND CHP TELLS US SHE WAS ARRESTED FOR DUI. AND NOW YOU CAN SEE AGAIN, VEHICLES ARE BLOCKING THE LANE BEING HERE ON ELKHORN BOULEVARD. WEST LANES ARE OPEN. ONE EASTBOUND LANE IS CLOSED AS THIS INVESTIGATION CONTINUES. It appears that the vehicle involved in the accident has been removed from the scene. 2 pedestrians dead after hit by DUI driver on Sacramento County sidewalk, CHP says

A man and woman walking on a sidewalk in the Foothill Farms area of Sacramento County Tuesday night were struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver, the California Highway Patrol said. The couple was struck when a woman driving a Honda Civic eastbound on Elkhorn Boulevard east of Hillsdale Boulevard veered off the road around 8:27 p.m., the CHP’s North Sacramento Division said. Both pedestrians died at the scene. They are believed to be between 50 and 60 years old. The female driver, who is in her late teens or early 20s, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, CHP said. The person will be booked after being medically cleared, officials said. Both pedestrians died at the scene. They are believed to be between 50 and 60 years old.
