A shooting attack occurred near Tekoa Junction in the West Bank on Sunday morning, the IDF Spokesperson Unit confirmed. Three people were injured and the shooter remains at large.
The shooter reportedly fired from inside his own car at another car on the road as he drove by.
Three injured, one taken to hospital
Magen David Adom spokesman Zachy Heller told KAN News there were three people in the car that was attacked. The driver, a man in his 30s, was seriously injured. With him were two girls, aged 14 and 9, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries from broken glass.
MDA also reported that the man was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital for further treatment. He was in serious but conscious condition and able to speak when he was evacuated from the scene of the attack. Both girls were treated for their injuries at the scene.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Leah Klein, who was one of the first responders to the scene, said, “Along with IDF EMS personnel we treated a man in his thirties for a bullet wound and two young women, their daughters, for minor injuries.”

Shortly after the event, the spokesman of the Shaare Zedek Hospital, Yossi Gutsman, confirmed the arrival of the injured, stating that his injuries were in the upper part of his body and his condition remained stable. “After an initial evaluation, he is given further imaging tests and treatment,” the statement concludes.
Israeli security forces are currently working to locate the terrorist, who fled after the attack.
“We are talking about an area where there has not been a serious terrorist attack in years,” Gush Etzion Regional Council Mayor and Yesha Council Chairman Shlomo Ne’eman said in a statement. “We all wish a speedy recovery to the injured person and embrace the security forces who will soon catch the despicable terrorists and settle the score with them. We will not give in to the terrorists who seek to shed Jewish blood and drive us out of our country.”
The prime minister was briefed on the situation from his post at the Sheba Medical Center, Israeli media reported.
