According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, an active standoff is currently underway at a home on Big Pine Lake near Perham.
The residence near 428th Street is surrounded by police officers dressed in full tactical gear.
As the standoff continues, officers have begun evacuating nearby residences.
Authorities have told residents to wait until an officer arrives at their door to evacuate, and are advising them not to leave their homes independently.
Roads near the incident have been closed.
The situation is believed to involve a single suspect contained inside the cordoned-off home.
