The former FBI agent who served as supervisor of the federal investigation into Hunter Biden at the IRS corroborated key parts of the whistleblower’s testimony about the Biden administration’s alleged political interference in the investigation, the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.

“The night before Hunter Biden’s interview, both Secret Service headquarters and Biden’s transition team were informed of the planned interview. He added that the DOJ’s “efforts to cover up the Bidens” showed there was “a two-tier system of justice” and promised that the committee would “continue to seek the answers, transparency and accountability that the American people ask and deserve”. .”
The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley and the second anonymous whistleblower who raised allegations of DOJ interference in the investigation appeared in court earlier Monday.
Whistleblowers have said the decisions in the case appeared to be “influenced by politics”. They also alleged that federal prosecutors blocked lines of questioning related to President Biden and said the U.S. attorney in charge of the investigation, David Weiss, did not have full authority to file charges.

The testimony comes as the committee investigates the Biden family’s business dealings.
“Since taking the gavel in January, the Oversight and Accountability Committee has moved rapidly in our investigation into the domestic and international business dealings of the Biden family to determine whether these activities compromise US national security and the ability of the President Biden to lead with fairness,” Comer said. he said in a statement last week.
“From the thousands of financial records we have obtained, we know that the Biden family created more than 20 shell companies, engaged in intentionally complicated financial transactions with foreign adversaries, and made a concerted effort to conceal payments and avoid scrutiny”.

Comer said whistleblowers have confirmed “many findings of our investigation” and stressed the importance of hearing from them, and other witnesses, about the “weaponization of federal law enforcement.”

The DOJ has denied that the investigation was influenced in any way. U.S. Attorney David Weiss of Delaware, who is handling the investigation, has said the investigation is “ongoing.”
