I the backpack, turn around, put it on. Yes, you don’t say anything you can’t. Um, yeah, I think as that process unfolded and obviously figuring out where I was going to be and making the decision to, you know, come here and his decision to draft me. I’m just grateful, grateful to have been and, and Mr. Nutting, allowed me to be a part of this organization, an organization that has a lot of history, uh, you know, *** tradition of excellence, grateful to my , to my parents and my coaches and, you know, the support system that I’ve had to do, to get me to this point and, you know, the support system. It will definitely help me continue in this game. While I’m playing, thankful for my teammates for being with me and, you know, being on the teams that helped me win and, you know, helped push me every time. day. Uh, just grateful, I can’t wait to win and I’m excited to be a *** pirate and, um, really again, grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait to be a part of the group. that, that, you know, wins another World Series warehouse. Oh, this process can sometimes drag on during negotiations. You did it relatively quickly in 10 days. Why do you think this happened? And did it come together so quickly? It was a ***, it was a very easy decision to, you know, with the organization and the people that are here. I felt very comfortable, looking forward to coming here. Um, and it was, you know, generally *** a very easy offer, in my opinion, to take one of the points that they made about that willingness to take on challenges. You think definitely my upbringing, uh, my parents and, and my sisters, and again, the, you know, the teammates and coaches that I’ve had throughout my life, uh, kind of a… environment that I’ve lived in, I love what you do and you do it very well. Um And that’s, that’s been what, you know, has been a point of emphasis, uh, when I’ve started making my own decisions with, you know, where to go to college and, uh, deciding things. about my future Um, and so I think that, you know, every day I try to wake up and see what I’m made of, uh, I try to get better every day, whether it’s baseball or life. Um, and that’s, that’s how I try to live my life, Paul building it off of that. You can talk about how the military background or the experience through that applies to baseball preparation and, um, changing it from one type of domain to another. Um, that, I’ve found that, you know, how you live your life, uh, you, you can’t really switch between baseball and, you know, relationships and school, whatever. is. Um, how you live your life is how you live your life. And obviously the military, you know, its foundation is discipline and order, er, structure. Um, and the, the habits that it forces you to build, uh, they translate really well not only to baseball but to life and, uh, I think going out there and, you know, building those habits, uh, that, obviously, I think I’ve been doing well, it’s doing me well. But, um, everyone I know at the Air Force Academy believes there is a better man, a better woman. Um, and I’m grateful for the opportunities that have given me so prepared. Hey, can you repeat that? How prepared do you feel you are? Um, I think as far as my stuff goes, I think I’m pretty close. Uh, it’s, it’s a different game. Um, and I have, obviously I’ve never been on the big league field. Um, I’ll do my best to get there as soon as possible. And, you know, whatever it is physically, mentally, whatever it is, I’m going to do whatever it takes to get there as soon as possible. But, um, I think to some extent I don’t know, just because it’s ***, it’s *** a different game. There are different challenges and, hey, I think it’s a lot more demanding than college. What are some of the things you did today and what were your initial impressions of PNC Park or Pittsburgh? Yeah, I haven’t checked out PNC Park, briefly and I really like it. Um, we’re going to stay across the street, so I, I got to see a little bit of the, you know, outside the park and walk around town, down to the river. Today we went to the Roberto Clemente Museum, which was a very humbling experience. Um, you know, who he was as a *** man and *** baseball player, obviously. Um, it’s really, it was really fun to experience. We probably spent half an hour longer than we probably should have there. But, it was, it was great to experience it. Um, but, yeah, it’s, you know, Pittsburgh looks like a really cool city and, um, I’m excited to, you know, live here.
