According to the latest advice from the National Hurricane Centerrwe can breathe easy for a week, at least.
Forecasters are watching four tropical waves in the Atlantic basin. Two of them were in the Caribbean Sea.
The Atlantic Basin includes the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico.
Dry air and strong wind shear, which help prevent the development of tropical cyclones, have kept the tropics quiet of late. But AccuWeather Forecasters said tropical conditions could begin to change early this month. WeatherTiger predicts a more active hurricane season during the last few weeks of July.
The next named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season will be Don.

What’s out there and where are they?
Tropical Wave 1: A tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic is southeast of Cape Verde. It is moving west at 11 mph. Exact location: traveling along 22W to 04N north.Tropical Wave 2: A central Atlantic tropical wave is moving west at 11 mph. Exact location: near 37N from 17N south.Tropical wave 3: A robust tropical wave crosses from the western Atlantic into the eastern Caribbean, just west of the Windward Islands, and extends east of Venezuela. Moving west between 11 and 17 mph. Exact location: along 62W.Tropical wave 4: A western Caribbean tropical wave is located along 85W from 19N to Honduras, continues south through Costa Rica and begins to emerge in the eastern Pacific. This wave is moving W at about 17 km/h.
Who is likely to be affected?
It is too early to determine if there will be any impact on the US from the tropical waves.
Meteorologists ask all residents to continue to monitor the tropics and to always be prepared.

When is the peak of hurricane season?
The peak of the season is Sept. 10, with the most activity between mid-August and mid-October, according to the Hurricane Center.
