Three women were killed and a baby was injured in a shooting at a Tulsa apartment complex early Monday morning, police said.
The shooting was reported at the Wood Creek Apartments along I-244 and N. Garnett Road shortly after 6:30 a.m., and when officers arrived, they confirmed the deaths.
A teenager was inside the apartment during the shooting and TPD said he was able to escape and call authorities.
Tulsa police also confirmed that an infant had been shot and taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
“It’s rare to have three people at the same time and a child as well,” said Tulsa Police Capt. Richard Meulenberg. “We have potentially four victims, but we’re all pulling for this child. We’re doing what we can and praying that this child recovers. It’s tragic.”
A male suspect turned himself in at the Mingo Valley Division shortly after 8 a.m., TPD reported.
The names of the victims and suspects have not yet been released.
