Michigan lawmakers approve ban on ‘conversion therapy’ for minors
CNN — Michigan’s Democratic-controlled state legislature gave final approval this week to a pair of bills that would ban so-called conversion therapy for minors, joining other blue-chip states in advancing protections for LGBTQ community this legislative session. The state Senate voted largely along party lines Tuesday to advance a ban on “conversion therapy,” a scientifically discredited practice aimed at changing a person’s sexual orientation. 2 minors, Port Authority police officer hospitalized after crash on East Busway – WPXI
PITTSBURGH – Two juveniles and a Port Authority police officer were taken to the hospital after a crash on the East Busway Tuesday night. Channel 11 learned that the vehicle in which the two minors were was stolen. Pittsburgh Regional Transit said the vehicle was traveling in the bus lane between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. The police tried to stop the vehicle, which sped off. The pursuit was stopped for safety reasons. The car eventually struck a different cruiser near Liberty Avenue. PRT said both vehicles are badly damaged. The injuries were not believed to be serious.
