WORCESTER – Worcester will begin spraying areas of the city for mosquito control starting Tuesday, city officials said. The city has partnered with the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project to reduce public exposure to mosquitoes and the potential for mosquito-borne disease transmission, including West Nile virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE). . Shuttle buses replace service on parts of Green Line after streetcar derailment due to track conditions – Boston 25 News
BOSTON – A Green Line trolley carrying more than two dozen passengers derailed in Boston Monday afternoon, officials said. The Green Line B trolley derailed between Blandford and Washington streets near Packard’s Corner around 1:40 p.m., according to the MBTA. There were about 30 passengers on board at the time of the derailment. They all managed to get off the train safely. The green line trolley derailed about 3 hours ago by Comm. 2 people injured in shooting in Uptown Pittsburgh – WPXI
PITTSBURGH – Two people were injured in a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Uptown neighborhood Monday afternoon. According to Allegheny County 911, the shooting happened in the 2100 block of Watson Street around 3:50 p.m. Pittsburgh police said seven rounds were fired in the 100 block of Seneca Street about ten minutes earlier.
