STEUBENVILLE — Money magazine awarded four stars to Franciscan University of Steubenville in its recent “America’s Best Colleges 2023” resource Only 736 colleges (30 percent of the more than 2,400 US universities) made the list based on financial health, student population and above-average graduation rates. The financial magazine’s new five-star rating system was based on 26 competitive metrics across three categories: affordability, quality of education and student outcomes. These metrics included cost of attendance, financial aid, graduation rates and alumni salaries. Much of the western United States has been cooking under one extreme heat wave for so long that Phoenix, Arizona, has now recorded its record 18th consecutive day with temperatures soaring to 110 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
