BOSTON – The State House was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after an electrical fire was discovered in the basement, state police said. The fire reached two alarms at 3pm with smoky conditions in parts of the building. Boston Firefighters are on the scene. “At this time, the fire appears to be contained to the basement. We are not aware of any injuries,” state police said. The basement fire was discovered at approximately 2:12 p.m., state police said.
