The cellphone of a man who police say was stabbed to death was used to Google self-defense laws, including the phrase “You spend the rest of your life in prison if you killed someone in self-defense,” claims an arrest affidavit. The cell phone belonged to Larry Jarrell, 29, who was found dead in a unit at Casa Grande Apartments, 4725 39th Ave. N, Friday Jarrell had been stabbed with a knife in the inner thigh, which medical examiners determined was the cause of death, records show. Authorities are currently searching for a woman in connection with a shooting in Denham Springs earlier this week that sent one victim to the hospital. An arrest warrant has been issued for Shelby Perritt for second-degree aggravated battery, according to Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard. Perritt is also wanted on unrelated drug charges.
