Man killed in weekend shooting in Homewood identified – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – One man is dead after a shooting in Homewood. Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 7200 block of Kelly Street around 3:20 a.m. Sunday. Wilkinsburg police found a gunshot victim, later identified by the medical examiner’s office as 28-year-old Kyle Wilson, inside a vehicle in the 200 block of South Avenue while collecting evidence at the scene. PITTSBURGH – A boy died after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Pittsburgh’s Glen Hazel neighborhood Tuesday night. Wednesday morning, the Allegheny County Coroner’s Office said 6-year-old Jamel Austin died from his injuries. According to police, officers responded to the incident in the 730 block of Johnston Avenue at 8:21 p.m. Officers found the boy upon arrival and CPR was immediately performed on him.
