Two 17-year-old males were arrested Monday morning in connection with overnight shootings in Norman, police said. An officer encountered a suspicious person in the parking lot of an apartment complex around 2:30 a.m., police said. The suspect appeared to be trying to steal vehicles and when the officer approached him, the suspect fired at the officer, police said. The officer returned fire and the suspect fled the scene, police said. Around 7 a.m. the same day, the suspect vehicle was found, police said. LEXINGTON, Ky. — A Scott County deputy has died after being shot this afternoon. The shooting happened near Interstate 75 and Lexus Way. Deputy Caleb Conoly was shot during a traffic stop and transported to UK Health Care where he died. According to police, the officer was shot after pulling over a car in order to make a traffic stop.
