Needles, California: An accident involving a semi with a trailer into the center divider and a cab overturned on the side of Interstate 40 west of J Street.
The crash was reported at 1:28 a.m. PT on Friday, July 29, 2022, near the area of the California Avenue pedestrian tunnel, where several other crashes have occurred in recent years, including a wrecked semi truck with a trailer just a few days ago.
The California Highway Patrol was on the scene when ZachNews arrived at the accident, and A&G Towing service soon arrived on scene to recover the cab and remove the trailer carrying 5,000 pounds of soybeans.
San Bernardino County Fire District Medical Engine 32 along with Medical Ambulance 31A were responding to the incident, but were later canceled and cleared.
This should report the driver of the semi truck was not injured in the accident.
Motorists should drive cautiously in the left lane of Interstate 40 eastbound and westbound, west of J Street.
