Boil warning lifted for two Denham Springs neighborhoods, officials say | Breaking news

According to the Ward Two Water District, a boil advisory that was put in place for some neighborhoods in Denham Springs last week has been lifted.

On Aug. 5, a boil advisory was issued for all customers in the Arbor Walk and Hunter’s Ridge subdivisions in Denham Springs.

Ward Two Water District officials said the advisory was issued when crews went to a broken water main on Arbor Walk Drive in the Arbor Walk subdivision, located off Walker South Road in Denham Springs.

“While these repairs are being made, the water pressure will drop below the Louisiana Department of Health’s minimum standard,” officials said. “The Louisiana Department of Health requires all water systems to issue a Boil Notice if the water pressure drops below the minimum standard.”

The boil advisory was lifted Tuesday morning.
