The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) attacked Mar-a-lago, former President Donald Trump’s residence in Florida, on Monday. The investigation was reportedly conducted in search of classified materials that the president brought from the White House to his private home.
“These are dark times for our nation as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” he said Trump in one statement on their social media platform Truth Social.
“After working and cooperating with the relevant government agencies, this unannounced attack on my home was neither necessary nor appropriate,” he continued. He criticized the move as a “weaponization of the justice system”.
The attack was met with widespread criticism, with many accused deep state of exercising their agencies against political enemies for unjust and partisan ends.
“By raiding President Trump’s home today, the FBI provided clear and compelling evidence that he is armed against the American people and self-government.” he tweeted former Trump official Russ Vaught.
“The FBI needs to be legally and formally disbanded. What happened to President Trump is positively shocking and a brand of unchecked government power,” added commentator Candace Owens. “I no longer recognize the country I live in.”
While the details of this raid are still emerging, it is clear that the FBI has become a pawn in the hands of our corrupt federal government. Ironically, this comes at a time when it has been nearly impossible to launch an investigation into President Joe Biden’s scandal-plagued son. Hunter Bideneven as the evidence supporting the allegations against Hunter continues to mount.
Our government is drunk with power. He is not really interested in investigating potential corruption; his purpose is to take out anyone who dares to stand in his way.
To end this madness, we need an Article V Convention of States. Our founders left us this tool for a time when the government would become hopelessly intoxicated with its own corruption.
