The Cañon City Police Department is investigating the death of a 19-year-old man Tuesday morning in the 400 block of Gold Canyon Road.
Commander Elliott VanDyke said officers were called to the area around 8:47 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive man inside a home.
“When officers arrived, they found the person deceased,” VanDyke said.
The teenager was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
“At this time we are labeling it as an ‘undetermined death,’ however, our investigation will continue,” VanDyke said.
He said he was not sure where the teenager lived; Official notifications have not yet been made to the family.
He said there are no suspects at this time. Updates will be provided as they become available.
