ENFIELD, CT (WFSB) – A homicide investigation began on the Enfield town green overnight.
The location was 81-199 Main St.

He told Channel 3 that a person walking near the city green around 2:30 a.m. saw a body in the gazebo. The person called 911.
“Unfortunately, officers were able to confirm that the adult male was deceased when we arrived at the scene,” Fox said. “Together with our Connecticut State Police partners, an investigation is underway at the scene.”
Fox confirmed the death appeared to be a homicide.
“We feel comfortable calling it a homicide investigation,” he said. “I am not in a position to go into specifics because that has the potential to affect the integrity of the investigation.”
He said his department is looking into a number of leads.
Channel 3 cameras were rolling when Suffield police arrested a man on the Windsor Locks Canal Trail, just across the river from the Enfield green. However, it is not clear if the arrest is related to the homicide.
Investigators have not yet released anything about the arrest.
“I knew something was up when I saw everything here. I wouldn’t have come here if I knew this happened. We were actually going to come here early this morning, but we decided to run errands first,” he said ruby
Rubino said the city green is a popular spot for his family.
“My husband and my son walk by here every day and he was right there, so it’s very disturbing,” Rubino said.

Enfield Police said they would have a presence in the town hall area for the rest of the day.
Police identified the victim as 55-year-old Christopher Kennedy.
No other details were released.
