The hospital was able to treat the wound and the man was later released. Police were called to a shooting at 9:46 p.m. Tuesday. Mary Greeley reported the incident “shortly after that initial call,” according to a Press release of the department.
Ames police investigated the situation that allegedly took place in the parking lot of the 1300 block of Coconino Street, but found evidence of a bullet entering an apartment building.
Police are still investigating the case, but so far have found no threat to the community.
