Lamar police are investigating a second suspected fentanyl overdose in Lamar in the past two weeks. The first happened on May 4 and involved a young man who was found dead in his home, according to the Prowers County Coroner.
The second suspected overdose happened Tuesday morning and involved an adult man who was found dead at his home. According to the Prowers County Coroner, there was also an adult woman in the home who received life-saving care and was taken to the hospital. Its current status is unknown.
Autopsies are being performed on both victims and the investigation is ongoing.
