“The last time I talked to Brent Heeren about the legal processes going on here, he told me, he said it’s all political, he says I want nothing to do with it,” he said. Supervisor Bill Faircloth said at Monday’s Tama County Supervisors meeting.
The statement was made during discussion about hiring a lawyer for the Board of Adjustments because of its potential problem with Mid-American Energy. Hiring an attorney for the Board was finally approved after it was agreed that the supervisors would try to speak again with Heeren, the attorney of choice for Tama County.
The supervisors also decided that no additional informational solar hearings are needed since everyone was able to speak at last week’s hearing. Three hearings will be held after the modification of the solar ordinance.
Over $40,000 was transferred from one fund to another for the Sheriff. The fiscal year 23 budget amendment hearing was held with the approval of the resolution.
Supervisors approved advertising for Zoning Board members and administrator for two weeks, with a July 1 start date for the position.
The county engineer reported that work has begun on the Deer Creek Bridge west of Toledo, as well as the Gladbrook Durapatcher. Jericho will also start controlling the dust.
