GRIFFIN, Ga. – Warrants obtained by Channel 2 Action News reveal new details about the abuse a Griffin couple accused of trying to starve their 10-year-old son to death is accused of inflicting.

Krista and Tyler Schindley were arrested earlier this week after their emaciated son was found wandering the streets looking for food. At the time I weighed only 36 pounds.

According to the warrants, the abuse took place over a three-year period from May 12, 202 to May 12, 2023.
Warrants say the Shindleys intentionally withheld food, locked the boy in his room for extended periods and left him home alone without access to lights, food, clothing or adult interaction or assistance on multiple occasions.
