While Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is one of Disney World’s newest hotels, it looks like things may be changing.

In a statement from a Walt Disney World spokesperson, Disney explained:
“Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is one of our most creative projects ever and has been praised by our guests and recognized for setting a new bar for innovation and immersive entertainment. This premium boutique experience gave us the opportunity to try new things on a smaller scale of 100 rooms, and as we prepare for its final journey, we’ll leverage what we’ve learned to create future experiences that can reach even more of our guests and fans.”
The the last trips will take place from September 28 to September 30, 2023. New bookings are currently on hold.
Galactic Starcruiser Room
Disney will contact guests with Starcruiser hotel reservations from September 30 through the end of 2023 to provide an update. Besides, Bookings will reopen on 26 May for travel between now and the reported closing date.
Star Wars Hotel Atrium
For a little background, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser opened on March 1, 2022. The hotel was unlike any other Disney World hotel; the Starcruiser was designed to be a fully immersive two-night “cruise” adventure where guests were transported completely into the world of Star Wars.
The Galactic Starcruiser was full of ‘Star Wars’ missions and experiences.
Disney’s fully immersive experience came at a price: a trip on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser started at $4,809 for a party of two for a 2-night stay. Since opening, we have seen significant discounts and reduced availability, possibly due to reduced demand.
The cuisine was also quite unique!
