LANSING, Mich. — Mostly sunny and hot with possible showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon. Our stretch of blistering temperatures and sunny skies is likely to extend this week, leading to ideal days along Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan waters are currently in the upper 40s to lower 50s with low tides. The warming trend continues, too, with a couple of days likely to reach or exceed 90 degrees. High pressure is expected to remain in control, slowly meandering across the Great Lakes region.
