The Big Ten will announce its 2024 football schedule Thursday at 1:30 PST, as well as the list of conference opponents for each school.
Ahead of the launch, The Action Network’s Brett McMurphy has reported that USC will play Penn State and host Michigan, Iowa and Wisconsin in 2024.
The expectation in Thursday’s announcement is that the Big Ten will implement the flexible protection scheduling model by 2024 when USC and UCLA join the conference. This format, according to The Athleticis “where each team has one, two, or three protected opponents. This model allows schedulers maximum flexibility in terms of competitive balance, home and away rotations, and the specific challenges of West Coast travel for teams playing USC or UCLA. .”
There will be no more divisions in the football conference and each team will play nine conference games. Expect one of USC’s protected opponents to be UCLA.

In the 2024 non-conference, USC is scheduled to play LSU in Las Vegas and then San Jose State to open the season. The Trojans will also play Notre Dame at home later in the year.
USC and UCLA will officially join the Pac-12’s Big Ten in August 2024.
