We know the Chiefs made another Super Bowl win by visiting the White House earlier this week. And there they had fun.
And kicker Harrison Butker took the opportunity to make a statement about his stance against abortion and pedophilia and child sex trafficking.

Meanwhile, coach Andy Reid loved the food.

I really, really liked the food.
Like, he liked the food so much that he spent a good portion of his visit to the White House with the chef after tasting the food he and the players had for lunch.
Andy Reid loves to dive into sandwiches
“Yeah, they had some good stuff,” Reid reported Thursday. “I’ve never had this before, but they had a grilled cheese and ham sandwich on French toast that they dusted with a little powdered sugar.
“It was phenomenal! There was plenty of that. Then they had chicken fingers. Exotic chicken fingers. Perhaps the best part were, which I hadn’t seen before, bite-sized squares of watermelon heart. My hat. went to the chef.”

Reid delivered his compliments in person. And he was still talking about it days later.

“I went back and talked to him and said, ‘You guys are amazing,'” Reid said. “Whoever cut all of that, had the patience to do it, hats off to them.”
As everyone knows, Reid is a little older. It’s been a lifetime.
You’ll recall that teenage Andrew Reid was the oldest kid in a punt, pass and kick competition while representing his Los Angeles Rams in the early 1970s.

And even though Reid lost about 60 pounds starting in 2017 or so, he’s still carrying some major pounds.
He also doesn’t mind sharing his love for food.
He did it in Super Bowl LVII in February.
OutKick sent an investigative reporter to the so-called opening night of the Super Bowl to chronicle how many questions about food Reid asked him during his hour-long podium session with national and international reporters.

Okay, so maybe that was just me listening to Reid for 25 minutes and writing about what happened.
Anyway, Reid was asked about burritos and German food and asked to choose between Five Guys, In-N-Out and Shake Shack, twice.
And not only was Reid good natured with the questions, he’s turned the food into shit. He had fun with it. At the Super Bowl, he took the hamburger question seriously for a moment before returning to his grown-up comedy routine.
“Listen, I like all three,” he said. “I grew up in In-N-Out…I don’t turn them down.”

Anyway, food talk is ready for Reid. It is part of his personality.

I think that makes him more likable, to be honest. Or frankfurt.

This also makes Reid more likable:
He completely distanced himself from the heads’ visit to the White House being a political statement of any kind. I had none of it.
“You know what was good? I mentioned to you down there that you put all the politics aside,” Reid said. “So you’re not a Democrat, you’re not a Republican, you’re not an Independent. You’re just an American.
“I thought that was the clearest part of it – that everyone was enjoying the story and we were given a range of food which was fantastic.”
