EVERETT, Mass. — Authorities are investigating after they say the body of a young woman was found in an Everett backyard Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, a Springvale Avenue resident reported to police that he found a body in his backyard around 2 p.m.
Authorities say an 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released at this time.
A preliminary investigation showed that the woman did not show signs of obvious injuries, but police are treating this death as suspicious due to the circumstances surrounding the location of the body.
The investigation is still ongoing.
No arrests have been made at this time.
